Narrate Your Reader's Mind

• I think aloud about what might happen next. "I wonder if she'll find her way home..." or "What do you think he'll do?"
• I make connections between stories and real life. "This reminds me of when we went to the beach" or "That's just like your cousin!"
• I share my emotional reactions to stories. "That made me feel worried for the character" or "What a funny surprise!"
• I ask genuine questions about the story and show curiosity: "Why do you think he said that?" or"What would you have done?"
• I demonstrate rereading for understanding "Wait, let me read that again" when something is confusing or particularly good.
• I verbalize my visualization. "I can picture the castle in my mind" or "I imagine this character has curly hair."
