Keeping it Clutter Free

ONE IN, ONE OUT RULE

When adding a new prop to the basket, remove something else temporarily.

WEEKLY 5-MINUTE RESET

Every Sunday (or chosen day): - Return props to their categories - Rotate basket contents - Remove anything broken or unused - Wipe down basket/bin

SEASONAL DECLUTTER

Every 3 months: - Donate puppets or props your child outgrew - Refresh story stones with new images - Print new question cards if old ones are worn - Reassess what you actually use

THE "NOT WORKING" TEST

If a prop sits unused for a month, either: - Move it out of story time rotation - Try using it differently - Let it go

THE GOLDEN RULE OF PROP STORAGE

✨  "If it takes more than 60 seconds to find, it won't get used." Keep it simple, keep it accessible, keep it joyful.

Remember:

The goal isn't Pinterest-perfect organization. The goal is props that are easy enough to access that you'll actually use them. Start simple. Adjust as you go. What works for your family is the right system.
